Joe Langenbacker:  Instructor/Owner of R.I.D.E.

25 years of law enforcement experience, over half of which was spent on Police Motors

Retired Captain/Motor Officer from Gulfport PD

Adjunct Instructor for the past 12 years with Northwestern University Center for Public Safety, which is a program that travels the United States training motor officers

"As a retired motor officer and a certified Police Motorcycle Instructor, I have had the opportunity to train many officers across the country.  I know that these skills work.  That is why the staff members of R.I.D.E. want to provide you with the skills necessary to survive dangerous encounters while enjoying motorcycle riding.  We are so dedicated to training the civilian rider that our policy is:  Once you complete any level of our training at R.I.D.E., we invite you back any and every weekend that motorcycles are available to come practice your skills.  We do this at no cost.  That's correct, we provide you with a motorcycle and you may practice FREE!"

Brian Smith:  Instructor

27 years of law enforcement experience; 20 years of Police Motorcycle riding and instructing Police Motorcycle Operators

Currently a Lieutenant from Gulfport PD

Adjunct Instructor with Northwestern University Center for Public Safety

Have been certified twice in 20 years as an instructor with Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF)

"Having spent the better part of my adult life riding and teaching Police Motorcycle Officers, the one thing that I have learned is that the riding and survival skills that are taught to the Police Motor Officers are something that can easily be transferred to the civilian rider.  As a staff instructor with R.I.D.E., I continue to have the satisfaction and pleasure of teaching students of our classes how to become the safest motorcycle operator that they can possibly be.  I don't believe that you will find a more dedicated staff of instructors who have the genuine passion to teach than you will find in the instruction of R.I.D.E.!  Hope to see you soon!"

Ron Hilton:  Instructor

Retired from Biloxi Police Department after 25 years; 13 years Police Motorcycle Operator experience

Currently a Biloxi V.A. Police Officer

"I attended Police Motorcycle Operator School in 1993 instructed by Brian and Joe.  I later had the opportunity to become a Police Motorcycle Operator Instructor by attending Northwestern Traffic Institute, aka, Northwestern University Center for Public Safety, again instructed by Joe.  I was given a chance to continue to instruct safe motorcycle operating skills after retiring from the Biloxi Police Department.  I continue to ride my privately owned motorcycles, from commuting to work to enjoying the camaraderie of a shared interest with other motorcyclists and friends.  Everyday that I ride, I use the skills that are included in this course to safely make it home at the end of the ride.  I look forward to meeting you and passing these riding skills on to you."

Jeannie Sexton:  Registration

"I had never ridden a bike before other than being a passenger and at age 42, I decided I wanted to learn how to ride and wanted to learn how to ride safely.  So in March 2007, I registered for the R.I.D.E. beginners class and learned to ride on the Harley-Davidson Sportster 883.  I loved the class and riding so much that I took them up on their offer that once you complete the course you can come back any weekend they have a bike available and practice your skills for free.  Three weeks later, I registered for the intermediate class.  For months after completing the intermediate class, I continued to practice and in August 2007, I bought my first bike......a 2007 Harley-Davidson Softail Deuce!  I look forward to taking the advanced class and I wholeheartedly believe in what R.I.D.E. teaches!!  The instructors are great teachers and are truly passionate about what they teach.  You will learn a lot!!"
